Caleb McClain

Caleb is a junior in his first year learning the hammer throw and has shown significant development over the past 9 months. He now throws the 12 lb hammer over 185 feet and the 16 lb hammer over 40 meters. His progress is a result of consistent effort, and he has also made dramatic improvements in the weight room, building strength and power that continue to carry over into his throwing.

Isabella Kaminsky

Isabela is a freshman thrower who is just two months into learning the hammer. She has already reached a personal best of 34 meters and is starting to really come into her own in the event.

In addition to the hammer, she competes in the discus, where she has a personal best of 105 feet—an improvement of nearly 50 feet in her first year. Along with her success in the ring, Isabela has shown major growth in the weight room each month, continuing to build the strength and power needed to keep improving.

Her rapid progress is a direct result of her consistency, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Nicholas Stauffacher

Nick is a senior who recently picked up the hammer and, in just one month, is already throwing around 100 feet with the 12 lb hammer. His natural explosiveness has helped him make a quick transition into the event.

He is also an experienced discus thrower with a personal best of 160 feet. As a varsity football player, Nick brings a high level of athleticism, strength, and competitiveness to the ring.

Nick is an athlete with a lot of untapped potential, and as he continues to develop his technique—especially in the hammer—he has a high ceiling for continued growth.
